"That's not Fair," Internet Erupts as Angry Kenyans Blast Citizen TV for Making 'Major Blunder'

Citizen TV on Sunday ran an investigative piece christened Virusi Safarini which highlighted how drivers were dodging cessation of movement in Nairobi to smuggle people out of the city to the North Rift region.
The piece done by Investigative Journalist Purity Mwambia used secret cameras to expose how a drivers ferried them out of the city through a series of steps that makes it possible for them to pass police roadblocks mounted along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway.

In the investigative piece, Purity is recorded using a secret camera boarding a private car together with several passengers as they left Nairobi CBD for Eldoret after parting ways with Kshs3000.
They alight when nearing police roadblocks and board a motorbike to pass the barrier as the driver is allowed to pass since he is believed to be from the neighbouring community.
After successfully passing the roadblocks, the Taxi driver links them to a shuttle when reaching past Nakuru at a junction between Nakuru-Kisumu and Nakuru-Eldoret.
The reporter finally confirms she has arrived in Eldoret as she questions the government on the practicability of the cessation of movements.

However what has angered the majority of Kenyans the move by the Citizen TV Journalist to expose the identity of the Taxi driver and the number plate of his vehicle that ferried them out of Nairobi.
Kenyans lamented that it was unnecessary to expose the Taxi Driver since he was looking for a means to earn a living at this time of Covid-19 pandemic.
