Kazi imewalemea so now they're organising dance competitions to keep the masses excited and hoping they don't focus on the unfulfilled promises.

I hope you notice the smart one who is known for development in his constituency isn't engaging in the dancing. The unknowns sijui kawanjiku minji minji ndio wanatumika kama puppets.

Imagine a region that produced giant MPs like Michuki, George Thuo, Paul Muite, Kabando wa Kabando, Wanyiri Kihoro, Peter Kenneth, Irungu Kangata etc.

I never saw Kibaki or Matiba engage in a public dancing competition. I didn't see Karua twerking on stage. These are former MPs who would ooze wisdom whenever they engaged the public.

True. I am of the thought that KK having realised that there will be boos and jeers wherever they go due to their utter failure at everything, they have decided to forestall the embarrassments by these shenanigans.
That way, they don’t have to worry about questions on service delivery as the masses will have to be quiet and focused to enjoy these circuses.

Exactly 💯. You must have realised that there are also numerous football tournaments being organised of late. The aim is not really to find and develop talent but to remove people's focus from real issues. This is something called sports washing where politicians use sports to clean up their image. Saudi Arabia is an example. Nobody talks about their human rights record or about Jamal Khashogi any more. Nowadays when you mention about Saudi Arabia people think of Cristiano Ronaldo, LIV golf, Newcastle United, UFC matches...they have used sports to clean up their image to the world
