Kangudo Rd this morning

Most of these settlements on the East of Nairobi (beginning Athi plains) were just savanna and acacias 30 years ago, with antelope, giraffes and zebras occasionally spotted by the rough dirt roads. Whenever it rained, the rivers broke their banks and covered vast expanses with brown waters. Same thing happens seasonally, but now the waters come to flood living rooms and shacks that were built level with the land. It will not cease any day soon.
