Kangemi phone thieves - they are now vomiting on passengers

Phone! Phone! Phone! One thing for sure is to never let out your phone while in a matatu, unless your loved ones are dying.

Kangemi phone thieves have come up with a new tactic and it is disgusting and scary at the same time. In case you don't know, Kangemi buses, which are popularly known as Star bus is the absolute ghetto. You board one at odeon, and you are never sure if you'll get home safe, and with all young belongings.

Once the bus is full, the conductors call out others who will stand on the bus as they will be charged half price, when this happens, one can hardly breathe and the windows can't be open following theft from people walking along the road.

If you have used Waiyaki Way in the resent past, you are aware about the road construction on going, this has caused a lot of traffic jam along the highway and thieves have used it as an opportunity to get their daily bread.

Back to the new tactic: Once the bus is full to capacity plus extra, they 'boy' have now decided to vomit on the seated passengers to distract them and steal their valuables.

This morning I witnessed one, and they thought of it makes me sick.

A lady seated next to me, took off her mobile phone, browsed through the internet and was later called by her colleague according to the conversation they were having. Two seconds after hanging up the phone and keeping it into her bag, the guy who was standing next to her started vomiting directly into the lady's handbag. Other passengers started complaining telling him to stop whatever he was doing but all were in vain, as he was doing the act, the lady dropped her handbag as she couldn't hold the smell anymore, to y surprise, the guy had more people behind him who were targeting the bag.

The lady asked anyone who had tissue to assist her so that she can wipe her bag and before bending over to pick it, all her valuables were gone and the culprits jumped off the door while the vehicle was still moving. She lost it all, just like that.

Other passengers started having the conversation and it was established that's how they steal from passengers as the window grabs are old fashioned.

Fake news

not fake news, it used to happen even kwa mat za langata, one guy will pretend to be belching very loudly while producing a very bad smell, wewe you'll try to squeeze yourself to the other seat to avoid the expected matapiko, kumbe pale unajisqueeze ndo mwizi yuko , he'll ransack your pocket akikusongea ,sahizo anashout vile huyo jama ana belch alikula chakula mbaya na ananuka mbaya.
