Residents of Kachibora in Tranzoia East Sub-county, TransNzoia County were left in shock after the body of 39-year-old man was found dangling on the roof of his room after a disagreement with his wife. David Kipliman Kiprono is said to have killed himself after his wife identified as Winnie Mulongo Wanyama refused to give him her identity card which he wanted to use and buy a motorcycle on loan. While confirming the incident, the village elder said that the man came home at around 11am and found his wife and children asleep whereby he tried to stab them. The wife reacted swiftly, raised an alarm and attracted neighbours who arrived to save them. The elder added that the man who appeared mentally distressed said that he wanted to finish his family since his wife didn't give him her identification card. The man then rushed to his house after he was blocked from killing his family. The neighbours locked him inside the house to prevent him from escaping but he instead committed suicide using a rope.
