Just off our shores...

Wow! What a brilliant woman. I think Kenya should do the right thing and lead the AU in recognizing Somaliland. Kama SS ilijitoa why not this stable country?

Kenya is not know for leading in stuff like that.
Ref: Kenyas zero support of anti apathaid struggle in SA before 1991

The reason Somaliland is not recognised is because its NOT in any "global powers" interests.

Infact, some like USA may be against it because of policies lamping Somalia and Somaliland together.

It would be in ALL African countries interest to have Somaliland recognised globally, BUT generally, corrupt African leadership's can easily be gotten to go against their own countries self interests

Alafu the way it works is that, that woman there is and almost certainly had been a target for assassination by hao hao alshabab, terrorist, warlords, pirates.

There has already been many somalia/Somaliland diaspora returnee's who have tried to go back and do the stuff she is talking about.

They all end up dead in a bomb attacks.

Other African nations can't endorse Somaliland because they have territorial disputes and separatist movements. Anglophone Cameroon, Biafra in Nigeria, Western Sahara and Morocco etc

Kenya supported the liberation movement by training ANC soldiers alongside it's own soldiers in Lanet in the late 1970s up to mid-1980s for many years. The reason you perhaps do not know is because such ops could not be announced on KBC radio and the soldiers (mainly Cadet Officers) were under cover as exchange program officers from Malawi, Zambia and so on.

Kenya Air Force used to maintain Zimbabwe Hawk jets when they were flying them under embargo. They would be repainted to look like ours...
