Juja Residents Corner Comrade and beat him up

Hapo sasa itakuwa ufala. I condemn the isolated acts of violence by police, students and members of the public. We should learn to be organised in everything we do. Why could'nt the students be organised in the protest? They should have joined hands with the local community na wafanye maandamano ya dakika 30 alafu warudi shuleni.
It was a peaceful protest until the police showed up anyway i support comrades kama umewahi ishi juja unajua past 9pm ukitembea pekee yako you'll be mugged

Ukiona educated elites resorting to violence jua there was no other option. They tried dialogue (reporting issuea and seeking discourse) ikashindikana so wakaenda kwa streets in peaceful protest. Polisi walipofika ndio walianza vita then citizens wakajoin. Comrades were fighting for justice and security.

hawa ma "comrades" wanafaa kunyoroshwa kabisa...most of them actually think they will be students forever.. wacha wamalize wakanyange tarmac ndio wataanza kuheshimu biashara za mama mboga
Nyinyi ndio shida ya hii Kenya. Those comrades were protesting the issue of insecurity that the university admin and police had refused to adress. If the police responded with as much enthusiasm as they had while beating innocent comrades to the perpetrators of insecurity there wouldn't have been protests in the first place.

That is collateral damage in response to the violence started by the police and joined by the citizens. Comrades were merely defending themselves.

ok.. lakini these comrades are supposed to be some of the smartest brains we have... is there no other way for you people to air your grievances in this 21st century without resulting to bonobo tactics?

Those avenues were first exhausted before resorting to the peaceful protests that were turned violent by the police.

Its no secret-those university kids are the worst muggers in the area. Whenever the university closes (like now), there's significant reducing of instances of insecurity.
And am saying this as a businessperson in the area, not herasay.

Even if they have to go to the street, some creativity would go a long way, look at the way those guys in hong kong were demonstrating - brains first then nguvu.

It is sad that some people are celebrating such brutality while calling themselves good Kenyans. There is no justification for such actions. Furthermore, that is just one comrade the rest of us are fit for another round.
Correct, that is totally unacceptable, the police abused the powers they are entrusted in. They must face the law !

I can't verify or deny that.

The police in Hong Kong held off from violence because the world was watching them and did not want to be seen as aggressors not because the protesters were smarter than the rest.

The students boost the Economy of Juja town and this is what they get in return.
Labda alikosaea watu heshima.

I went to a public university where we had demos and there were violent students, some of whom I had known them since primary school. It is a few people who create such chaos. Student leaders should have put measures in place to stop such people. But still the indiscriminate violence meted on some students is wrong.
