Investment advice for 2023

ICEA MMF you can withdraw funds any time, often as you need without losing interest. Sanlam has a higher interest but No of withdrawals is capped (same with Zimele)
Appreciated. Am a novice on MMF, I prefer CBK bonds
How safe is the MMF, heard people saying cytonn had done them, bila lube.
Are they regulated, by whom, and what protection is accorded to investors?...cc @Okiya

No safe investment. Hata CBK bonds zinaweza zama majini like it happened to Ghana, Zambia and South Sudan. Cytonn MMF offers the highest rate and no investor lost their money. The investors who lost their money are those who invested in their real estate fund. Avoid balanced fund too because the stock market is not doing well so you end up losing.

The best investment would be government bonds and bills. MMF are good but remember the money you give them is mostly invested in GOK bills

But why not buy treasuries direct and cut out the middleman. The only advantage they have is you can pull out your funds anytime, on this I counter with, why not buy 91 or 182 day treasuries if you have other plans with your money in the nearterm

If you are sure you wont need the money for the next 3 months, 6 months or 1 year then go for government bills
If you have a feeling you may need the money in the course of your investment, go for MMF

Avoid CIC. Their current interest rate of 8.8% is shit

Sacco have also started changing with time. For example, the one am in, if you are purchasing a property, or whatever facility you want, you can give collateral of land without need of looking for guarantors.
