@AU5 , change of titles say from New Lister to Lister and so on and so forth is a grey area. Please share on the cut offs.

No. You are explaining trophies or points (which existed and was understood) while people are asking about KCr, a newly introduced feature.

1. How did a member who joined yesterday and has at most 9 posts get 35 KCr by today?

2. Why did I get 5 KCr yesterday, a day on which I probably posted 9+ and got perhaps 30 likes?

3. Why did I get 100 today?

Tell the 'system' to tell us why whenever it dishes out KCr.

KCr is awarded the same time and amount as trophy/ points amount. If you get a trophy with 50 points you will get 50 kcr a 1 to 1 ratio

They achieved milestones which are were awarded trophies that ammounted to 35 points, according to the math stated here: https://kenyanlist.net/index.php?help/trophies/ there are some low hanging fruit which can be easily achieved by any new joiner, for instance just uploading an avatar is a milestone which is awarded, we want to give incentive to such behavior. Please note that we have tweaked the trophies a bit since the event you mentioned occured as part of our fine tuning process.

Each KCr award is accompanied by a trophy award notification which indicates the particular milestone you have been awarded for, this should provide an explanation.In your case and also for most members, we introduced the upload avatar milestone on that particular day, this is a new trophy which no one had been awarded for, so the system went through all the users and identified all those who had uploaded avatars and awarded them this trophy and a corresponding award of 5 KCr. So some awards aren't based on text content only, an avatar is media content and it's upload is an indicator of investment in the community hence the need to incentivize such.

As mentioned in a previous reply each award notification is accompanied by a corresponding trophy award notification which has more details concerning the milestone you have achieved, in your case it's likely that you achieved the 500 messages milestone which has an award of 100 KCr if you reference this resource https://kenyanlist.net/index.php?help/trophies/ just to add that when a new trophy is added, the system searches through the users trying to find the ones that match the criteria and awards them even if they had met the criteria weeks before the trophy was created.

In that case, KCr should be retroactively applied to match points, since the pioneers who had the courage to support your site against the jeers of sceptics are its foundation.

Put in your own language, if youre giving 'incentives' to newcomers, give rewards to pioneers for effort already expended, otherwise this will look exactly like what Wamafeelings did back in Misri (=misery). :D

Ni kama calculus Ndugu yangu. These holidays should end soon and that irrepressible temptation to tweak and tinker will disappear.

If KCr's are wages for all work done on Klist, and points are awarded for building blocks (posts, interest, content), isn't Salariman not being unfair paying those who started building on Saturday and ignoring how we got from the foundation to the 6th floor? :D
