Launched recently, the road measuring 4.2kms is a gamechanger for truckers such as @Meria and residents who often wish to access the Southern Bypass and Langata Road without having to go through the hustles and bustles of Mombasa Road... Eeerm

Took a few pics last Sunday when traffic was minimal even though I have to point out, I've never encountered a jam on the access road apart from the rare snarl-up when a trucker decides to make a brief stop with his 24-wheeler along the baro.
Above is the turnoff outbound at Naikuni's Ole Sereni Hotel and what I like most about the road is that one can't just use it to avoid Mombasa Road because as seasoned motorists know, the Southern Bypass has 0 turn offs into feeder roads apart from the Langata Rd, Ngong Rd, Dagoretti Rd and ultimately Kikuyu intersekshons.
Here's the irony. As a critic of the current kafment, I for one will never not give credit where its legitimately due..
For instance, this link road was constructed to easen the evacuation of cargo from the ICD and assist in the decongestion of Kanairo's major roads.
As we all know, it's been a great move to keep away trucks from Uhuru Highway and Waiyaki Way from the capital as started by the best president we've ever had, Sir Emilio wa Mweiga and every little effort counts.
I have no figures to conclude that graft was involved in this particular project but sometimes we ought to be optimistic that good works are ongoing amidst the everyday disappointments. Maybe that's why Ouru launched the road on Fool's Day ha! ha!
Still, fuak BBI
