wrongturn

Elder Lister
Hata uncle ya @Kasaman amesema he was an adopted son of a white man who didn't have any heir.
Point is watu waandike will, no one will live forever.

The other court battle revolves around the estate of British settler Crawford, who died a bachelor in 2014.
When he arrived in Kenya around 1950, Crawford settled in Mwariki, Nakuru County, where he practised horticulture and kept pets, including dogs and donkeys.
He made vast sums of money through farming and other business ventures.
He also established multimillion-shilling milk businesses, a number of petrol stations and other enterprises, including Blue Cross Kennels.
Crawford was attacked and seriously injured by robbers in 2008. Doctors said he developed Parkinson's disease, which led to loss of memory, a condition that lasted until his death.
With neither an heir nor any information regarding his family, his personal secretary, Ms Sarah Joslyn, expressed interest in being the administrator of the estate.
She is now battling for control of the property with other parties, including Mr Stephen Ngatia Maina(who was born and raised in Kasarani), who claims to be part of Crawford's adopted family, and former workers of Crawford who lived on his land.

Actually all the prominent business men in 70s who unfortunately majority are dead have their wealth being contested in courts , their siblings and grandchildren are fighting it out physically or have made courts their second home .Most of the wealth was illegally acquired , they can never have peace on this earth, their generation is cursed ! The clever ones went outside Kenya and through sweat aquired their clean money ,their happy !

Having a Will does not guarantee that there will be no disputes and squabbles as to the Deceased’s Properties and Estate.
This is especially so by those who believe that they should have been included and are not or those who believe they should have inherited more than they did.

But having a Will puts one in good stead that if the Will passes Probate, it will be followed to the letter.

Does anyone here have a sample of a simple will ya mkulima mdogo?
A valid Will need to be in writing, signed by the Testator and signed by 2 witnesses present.
This is why you need to walk into a Law Office with a retinue of your witnesses.
Without that, a Will can be challenged and deemed invalid.

Lawyers will just end up stealing for themselves
The Lawyer draws up the Testamentary being very conscious of grammatical and spelling mistakes as these could be grounds for a Will’s challenge.

They also ensure that the Testator’s true wishes and desires are properly put on paper and reflected in the Will.

The Lawyer also has the legal duty to identify, document and collect signatures of the Witnesses.
You need to bear in mind @The.Black.Templar, that Lawyers are Commissioners Of Oath -they authenticate, witness and preside over signing and swearing.

Without such a meticulous process, fraudsters would have a field day.
