A 23-year-old businesswoman was arrested by police with six AK-47 riffles and 568 rounds of ammunition along Thika road, Nairobi County. The suspect; Lydia Karimi, 23, was nabbed after the officers were tipped-off by two curious members of the public. The suspect was heading to Thika town from Nairobi Central Business District before the hawk-eyed officers pounced on her. Police reports revealed the firearms were concealed in a black polythene bag and hidden in the car's boot. The officers said they were yet to establish the reason why the businesswoman was carrying the firearms. Also recovered in her possession is Kshs 2 million shillings put inside a brown box in denominations of kenyan 1000 notes.
