CJ Maraga can’t seem to catch a break. He is putting out fires or engaged in a war nearly each month. Right now, both parliament and the executive are on his case…and he is not welcome in their offices. Even worse… someone is planning to advertise a vacancy in his post/ office while he is still sitting in that office.
• Uhuru, Raila might release BBI report this weekend.
The long awaited release of the BBI report might happen this week. Yesterday, Raila visited Yusuf Haji at his home. Haji is the leader of the BBI process; he has been unwell for some time now. Also, President Kenyatta yesterday appointed Martin Kimani Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the UN in New York. Kimani has been the joint secretary to the BBI team; signalling an end to the process.
• Why Senators want to stop retiring governors from vying.
Second term governors intending to run for other elective posts should resign 6 months to the polls… This is hard small….

And on Saturday, he will meet the leadership of the senate and the national assembly… two groups that will play vital roles in ensuring that BBI sails through.
• Exams: All ready for Grade 4 and Class 8. The nationwide exams are to begin next week and KNEC has already released the guidelines. It is expected that head teachers will manage the examination exercise.
• Covid: County revenues dip – closure of business and curfew … counties have collected less revenue than last year.
