To lead operations in our Nairobi Office, we are looking for a proactive and dynamic Resident Manager to oversee daily business operations and implement the Group’s strategic plan and vision. Reporting to the Partners, the Resident Manager will be responsible for:
- Maintaining positive client relationships and driving new acquisitions including networking with prospective new business clients.
- Manage all operations of the Nairobi office, ensuring short and long term goals set out by the Partners are met.
- Implementing the Group’s procedures and policies.
- Identifying improvement gaps and implementing corrective measures.
- Reviewing and overseeing all financial activities, performance, and documentation.
- In liaison with the partners, identify staffing needs, recruit and retain appropriate talent, mentoring and developing staff and build an effective management team.
- Effectively deal with risk management in terms of client acceptance and retention, ensure quality control in services provided as per the Group’s policies.
- Implement and ensure adherence to HR policies of the Group.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- A bachelors’ degree in business administration, accounting or finance will be an added advantage.
- Minimum three years’ working experience in a professional firm.
- Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Thorough knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Exhibit integrity, energy, ambition and drive, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment.
- Possess a strong strategic and analytical mindset.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, report writing, presentation and communication skills.
- Effective time management skills and ability to work around and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills.
