Chief Justice David Maraga has come out to say that he has nothing personal against the President after media outlets had retaliated so.
The CJ had earlier advised the president to desolve parliament as it had bit met the 2/3 gender rule. His statement brought a heated debate online and in media outlets.
Several politicians turned the advise to a political affair.
The Judiciary and Executive have had their fair shares of misunderstandings including appointment of Judges.
The CJ now says he respects the president and his office and that he has/ never had anything person against him.
"To our President, wherever you are, it is clear that there is a difference of opinion between me and you. But I want to assure you, and the entire nation, that I have nothing personal against you."
He added that -
"To the contrary, as you know Mr. President, I have given you respect as our Head of State. Why would I want to fight you, as some people are suggesting? I am apolitical and I hold no brief for any politician. The Security and the Intelligence Services can assure you of that; and I am sure they have assured you of that."
