A KRA PIN is used while transacting business with Kenya Revenue Authority, government agencies and or other service providers.
You are required to have a KRA PIN if;
Below are steps followed before PIN cancelation or deletion;
1. Log onto KRA website - itax.kra.go.ke
Enter your KRA PIN, your password, and answer the arithmetic provided, and log in.
2. Once logged in, click on e-Cancelation shown below.
Select on the type of application, whether Agent, for Legal Representation, Taxpayer or Sub Agent.
Once you've selected the application type, the system will automatically fill in your PIN and name, since you're logged in. Select the reason for your PIN cancelation and click submit.
With every reason for cancelation selected, one has to provide documentation evidence when asked for.
Once you have submitted your cancelation application, continue filing your returns and paying for taxes until you receive an official confirmation from KRA that your PIN and Tax obligation has been canceled.

- You want to apply for HELB loan
- You own or is in business
- You have rental houses
