How easy is it to leave NIS?

Simply resign. You ain't that important. However, if at senior management or head of sensitive sections, you can't just wake up one day and decide to leave. That could greatly jeopardize your own safety with your former colleagues being top of your worries.

I understand why you feel the way you do. Even the personnel who work in these institutions were once civilians who shared the same sentiments. All I can say is it's far more complex than you think, and those agencies in developed countries are exactly like ours and in some respects they are far worse, except they offer some veneer of civility, openness and due process.

The kind of rot that permeate our society from churches to hospitals to police has not spared NIS.
Btw for you to get employed there, you have to know someone. Most of the guys who work there are sons and daughters of senior people in government.
