Nissans at the Coast (sea level) are more powerful than their counterparts at higher altitudes upcountry. This means that they do not have to struggle much with acceleration and hill-climbs as they would in Nairobi and Western. Given that they are much cheaper than Toyotas but with an equally satisfactory performance at sea level, they become the natural choice at the Coast. Why is it that most matatus za Coast are "Nissans" ?
In Nbo and Western Toyotas take the lead. Any reason for this ?
The petrol engine squeal when thrashed was fantastic.
