Holidays

Schools closed a while ago. Majority of our school going children are back home. Sadly, most of these children have become strangers. Children that we cuddled to sleep are big now and want to compete with us in both dressing and mannerisms.

What can you do as a parent to ensure your child does not get into harm. This world is full of destructive energies and substances. Firstly, if it is not drugs, then it is relationships and matters relating to sex. Can you be able to sit with your child and discuss those topics that seem taboo like to even begin with?

As a parent it is becoming quite difficult to deal with teenagers. I wonder how teachers handle them. Suddenly, my teenage daughter does not want to cook she says it is her mother's responsibility.

My pre- teen boy thinks he is big enough to talk back to me. I am honestly tired.

The answer is to grind through it.

Remember they are having a lot of hormones that affect behavior and mood.

Case in point, remember those rock hard-ons we'd get when we were teenagers?

Damu ni moto.

The best you can do is be there and available as there are most vulnerable at this stage of life.

And usiwapeleke boarding school!

They need to grow up in normal society so that they can properly grow up.

Under your view and parentage.

Usiwache mwalimu akuwe mzazi.

You sound like a responsible parent, OP, and it's best they learn from you the principles of life. Keep in mind that they're quite exposed and the best way you can impart wisdom is by being a good example to them.

I relate with the holidays being too long as in my small neighborhood, I've come to notice the excitement of the teens as boys size up gals on opposite ends. It is a wonderful reminder that time flies as not too long ago, we also passed that stage. Did a lot of silly stuff which are now fond memories.

Yeah but I love the children very much and I am afraid of what the society has turned to

True but it seems they have bonded so well with their teachers

Wazazi wametuachia watoi wamesahau kazi yao. They test my patience the hard way but u have to be as professional as possible.
At the moment we have a singo mom crisis. Sad scenes
