You remember those 71 kids arrested with fake KDF recruitment letters having bribed conmen? They have been jailed for six months or 20,000 shillings fine. I hope that becomes a deterrent.

Some of the suspects in an Eldoret court.

I don't know why but I think this is too harsh a punishment from the same government that has very limited opportunities for the common mwannchi

Hapana. Bribing to get a job means someone who is more deserving is denied because someone could buy an advantage.

We really need to provide jobs, secure jobs so that we ease jobseekers desperation, this young men are only a sample.

Youth Unemployment has remained largely unchanged in the last decade (18.47% vs 18.26%) and the largest chunk of jobs we make available as an economy being low quality jobs with low incomes and quite volatile job security, that creates this demand for KDF and civil service jobs which are highly secure and offer attractive self-improvement options, people will keep trying to bribe their way in as long as they cannot find better opportunities.

They should be punished, that said it goes to show how in our judiciary kuna watu who are more equal than others.

Write your reply...Conmen, who are the army officers should be brought to book also. Otherwise, with the current unemployment and desperation, this will remain unsolved. Next year still, you will witness others
