Wueh.. but I think Moi started well alafu something happened as the 2nd liberation approached and akaamua kukafunga with his cronies.
Even in the 90s we had vibrant agricultural sectors an example being a flourishing dairy industry under KCC.

Anyway, Sachang'wan experienced the most horrific of tanker explosions in Jan-Feb (not sure which) '09 killing over 100 people.
Kyanguli (2001, 67 deaths), Bombolulu (over 50 deaths, 1998)and Nyeri (4 prefects, 1999) were dorm fires in secondary schools bearing those names.

I always looked forward to admiring pyrethrum bushes after the Eldoret junction on the Kericho to Nakuru highway.
Up to today, I am not sure why on every single trip, the sight of those mini bushes with white flowers made me feel good.
Now it's the opposite feeling I get when I notice their absence. But when I see a grazing Molo lamb, then it makes it okay..

As far as I am concerned pyrethrum should be treated as a national treasure in Kenya.
