An elderly man has been killed and then burnt to ashes by his grandchildren in Kapterit area of Marakwet West Elgeyo Marakwet County.
According to eyewitnesses who thronged the home on Thursday morning, the body of the deceased had also been burnt beyond recognition.

Local police boss John Matasi confirmed the incident, saying the deceased is believed to have had a domestic land dispute with his family, with an unresolved altercation leading to the incident.Matasi added that the suspects escaped after the incident.

However, he noted that an investigation has since been launched to apprehend and prosecute the suspects who are still at large.
