Gruesome Murder in Naks: A family affair

Detectives in Nakuru have arrested a 48-year old mother and her three children aged 23, 24 and 28 over the gruesome murder of her 59-year old husband, Charles Thairu Kinyanjui on Tuesday at Barnabas area.

Sospeter Kinyanjui Thairu, who is the deceased's eldest son and who has been on the run since the heinous act, surrendered himself yesterday to detectives, with several exhibits being recovered from his hideout.

Upon his surrender and interrogations, detectives proceeded to Ndimu Ndege area within Bahati sub-county in Nakuru where the suspect disposed the murder weapons and burned his bloodstained clothes.

Several exhibits were recovered including two metal rods, a bloodstained iron file, remains of burnt clothes, several syringes and a cash savings tin.
