Green mania is like an illness, but it is therapeutic

Your usual plant whisperer woke up to sow some florals. I have spoken to them and wished them plenty of rain and sunshine so they grow to bloom and be pleasing to the eyes and soul. Another step into turning my sanctuary into a zen haven. I will be reporting on the progress so you know if the seeds (bought online) are worth it as they do not come cheap.

Meanwhile the oranges, passion fruits and tangerines zimebeba kubeba. We shall have an abundance of the fruits in a week or two. We have just finished the guavas while competing with mithu (Mountaineers what are these birds called in English?)

Mzuri Saaana! Mwalimu, diluted liquid dish soap spray helps but you have to be persistent especially between watering and rainy season.

At the same time the pomegranates are proving to be too heavy for the mother tree. Should I trim off some of the branches so the others can grow strong? At the same same time someone tell me a non-chemical way of preventing the fruit from rotting from the tip.

I have a small tree that yield 1 or 2 pieces of fruit per season but I have never tasted any fruits of my labour right from the maiden yield. Whenever it gets to a point of me telling myself that I will give that solo Pomegranate another couple of weeks before I sink my teeth into it, the neighbourhood monkeys always beat me to it. They even leave peels scattered at my back porch for me to do the clean up. Bad monkeys!

We also have problems with monkeys but their menace is now reducing because virtually every neighbour now has some fruit so we share the problem. They also don't like the dogs barking at them.
