Going organic

Mwalimu-G

Elder Lister
Decided not to be throwing away the nutrients from the compound by liquoring the weeds to make organic fertilizer. Today was the day for gukerura. Stuff smells like sewage!

My fertilizer seems to work wonders. My elephant ear flowers seem to have suddenly found motivation to produce larger, more vibrant leaves after only a week. Also happy to report that none of the flora has shown stress after treatment. I had trepidation that the fertilizer may be too conc.

Mwalimu, looking good! your happy flowering plant is actually Anthurium, NOT elephant ear, though looks very similar and easily confused. Now that I see results, can you please brew a few more buckets of your finest and ship them to me down here in Mombasa? The problem down here though is that it's hot, dry and humid like satan's kitchen. I has not rained here for more than a year!

Thanks for the correction.
Even here it's hot and dry there are no weeds. I don't think it would be economical to ship when you can just pick wild mchicha there when it rains. Plenty of resources on how to on the net.

Does something being organic mean it is safe? Datura is organic and it will make you go mad, aflatoxin is organic and can kill you.

Organic fertilizer does not leave residues like chemical fertilizers that pollute ground water make the soil acidic and requiring other expensive chemicals to correct.
It is literally free except for the little time I use chopping up the weeds and stirring the liquor every few days.
Less laborious than composting.

Okay, if your aim is saving the environment.
