Police have established that the woman who was murdered yesterday at Kwa Waya area was killed by her husband who was later lynched by an irate mob.

The assailant was smoked out from the bush near Del Monte Farm before being stoned to death.

The couple had hired a car from Ngong and it is not yet clear what transpired between the two that led him to slip the wife's throat.

Their 4-month old baby was abandoned in the car after the incident.
