I'm convinced we're very close to the max point for taxes in Kenya; they can't keep raising the rates and expecting consumption to continue as normal. Or they can, because most of our leadership lives in a completely different world from the rest of us.

Na nimesoma that KBL has seen a major drop in volumes of barley brewed beer consumed, so already watu wameshuka to keg or moved to makali. Further increases will only exacerbate this alafu tuskie KRA wamehata targets by 40%.. when they shall again increase tax rates further to compensate
 
Nikifanya rough mazematics naona kama hiyo tax inaongeza 0.95 shillings per kilo of gas so if the tax was loaded onto your meko it would only rise by Sh 5.70.

Greed would not allow businesses to change prices by Sh 6 . They always round that amount to 50 to 100

I hear they are already talking of 300 for the six kg cylinder.. Unfortunately a key political player has enough stake in the gas market to distort pricing then make political hay out of the issue
