Former Youth and Gender PS Lillian Omollo has been awarded one shilling by labour court for her dismissal as PS in 2018. Judge says the suspension was unlawful. This is according to the Star.
"Lillian Omollo is awarded a nominal Sh 1 for the violation of her right to due process." - Judge Radido
Nominal damages normally refer to a 'small sum of money awarded as damages to someone who has suffered a legal wrong but no actual financial loss'.
PS Omollo was arrested alongside 63 others who were found guilty of Sh9 billion NYS Scandal season 2. She was letter suspended and accounts froze following hearing and determination of her case.
Other were arrested in Naivasha for allegedly supplying air at NYS.
