Lakini the Soviets were something else. If the Ekranoplans would have made it to this century, they would have been excellent vehicles for Russia's adventures world over.

Those things wasted soo many USSR resources and helped collapse the system.

How?

The cost of development of the ekranoplans in comparison to many other things that the Soviets were involved in is minuscule. By the time one was coming into operation in 1987, USSR was already collapsing.

These are people who had a larger nuclear and aerospace force than the US, they had a larger land army than the US and NATO, but it is the Ekranoplan, with less than 10 prototypes and 1 working example that contributed to sinking them?

Like any other country that innovates, many. But it is not their misadventures be it in the Arctic/Antarctica or militarism that led them to fail, it was mainly economic, political and legislative reasons such as Mikhail Gorbachev's need to reform the USSR, and the people themselves wanting to break away from USSR.
