Police in Athi River, Machakos County are investigating a Wednesday night incident where a man collapsed and died in a residential house while in the company of his female friend.

According to a police report, Ernest Kamanda, 52, had visited Catherine Kinyanjui, 47, at her house in Athi River but developed some complications before he collapsed.

The incident occurred at around 11.30 pm.

He was rushed to Shalom Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
