True..the way the interest rate caps were removed on their advice..wakati hizo nchi zao rates are well below 10%From history I know Kenya listens to IMF without asking questions. So I didn't bother to complain so much about the 16% VAT.

And is still on a major spree locally; GoK has crowded out the small borrowers hadi banks don't care about that segment any longer. I'm not certain it would work, but I think there should be a borrowing cap set for the govt, and additionally a limit on local sales of bonds and bills to banks.I was never for interest rates caps. Interest rates would have fallen naturally but uhuru went on a borrowing spree
