I read son of woman, son of woman in mombasa, tail in the mouth but I haven't come across Linani and I. All his books were ladedn with crazy humor, come to think of it, in tail in the mouth he talks about dying at 70 since it would be an awesome age as he would be impotent anyway and seeing that the Lord added to him 12 more years it was a real blessing for him and family.

Across the bridge sounded so simplistic about a young peasant marrying in a rich family. I have heard such stories before and they don't end up so well since in that set up he will always be a pariah whether he pulls up his socks and becomes an MP or prisident. Look no further than Muthama marrying Uhuru's sister, with all the money he has gained he will always be the vulgar in law they could live without and everything he does being dissected since he married in the loyal family. Kabogo too now thay he got his wife from the big boss he will always try to over compensate his shortcomings pun intended by uttering ridiculous statements to sound like the Mt Kenya kingpin.
Problem is that the mentioned are always involved in shady dealings and no one takes them seriously. Then they end up punching shadows.

Muthama married in to the family. And he is a pharmacist. Enough said....
