We cannot compare an African country to a European country, their insurance rates are way lower, they have accessible credit, a significant population is educated....they have better social safety nets...etc

One of our problems is fragmentation of arable land. Over 90 per cent of our population live on parcels of land so tiny that they are not viable for any agricultural ventures. Ukrainians, on the other hand live in towns Kibutz-style, leaving the land for large-scale farming. Large scale farming has great economies of scale and enables mechanization which is more efficient.
