Katambe sasa. Uchumi has gone to the dogs. No economic stimulus, just punitive taxes everywhere. No jobs for millions of youths. Elections on the horizon in this kind of situation.

We expect nothing less than total anarchy. The government people chose corruption & politicking over service delivery.

Now it's every man for himself and @Pamba 1 anangojea zake kama kawaida.
 
Don't really know how you people want to be helped. On one hand mnalia youth, desperate times, let down by political leaders etc.. On the other hand, even as the Kiambaa thread revealed, there is zero reasoning exercised while championing your tribal lords. In my mind right now, anyone who blames their political leaders for their predicament is 1) Naive (maybe innocent if they are young enough) or 2) a Fool.

money been stolen in transit.

also,expect more thefts from people who withdraw large sums (maybe even small sums) of money from the banks. theyll inform those outside and they trail and rob you.

the worst is they can easily access guns, so they'll be stealing in the open and other citizens wont do anything.

maybe even carjacking or matatujaking will be the norm.

times are hard, but we are a stage where we all want free, easy and expensive things at the quickest time possible. sahi ata wakipatiwa kazi, they rather hire guns and steal.

I am currently on an assignment in a financial institution where they procure guard services from the AP. I have observed a trend where:-
  1. The two officers spend their time together in a transitional space where an ambush on them cannot be repulsed. The room is dingy with no sight of approach by anyone. They are basically sitting ducks,
  2. On several occasions, I have observed them taking turns to snooze in packed vehicles within the basement of the building. How then is one expected to come from slumber to counter an ambush against a colleague on ground level,
  3. The officers have gotten into a habit of seducing ladies and telling stories with any idler. How are they expected to be alert?
Conclusion; police officer are just glorified watchmen.
