When the ocean warms the water evaporates straight up then is blown by winds to land, it rains then flows back to ocean through rivers. The arrows should point in the opposite direction.

More sightings of moothafoockas like this one are reported in Makueni as they leave their lairs to escape wetness...
These are simply enhanced rains, not yet elnino. The ground has been dry for probsbly a 6 year run in most places affecting the soaking ability of the soil. Any slight rain will lead to a run off.
If you want to believe we are having elnino then please Do!!! Otherwise it's very far from the truth, the existing weather conditions will hardly last a week.

Are you aware that Ngobit is in the rain shadow of Mt Kenya? Even if it rains it will not be as much coz the El Nino is orographic or relief rain and not convectional.
