Effects of Kenya Kwisha economic experiment

Okiya

Elder Lister
I feel sad for the affected employees and their families.

The most unfortunate thing is that some Kagege Kwanza members are still blind to the fact that the economic experiment has failed.

Stop portraying your ignorance. Majority of the companies you're mentioning that are laying off people are tech companies which had a hiring binge during the pandemic years

hate is clouding your judgement company shutdowns/layofffs have been there and will be there long after ruto is gone

Once the undisputed leaders of the booming East African retail market, today some of the biggest names in Kenyan retail are no more. The collapse of leading household brands stands in stark contrast to the hype around high-investment returns expected from Africa’s “burgeoning” middle class, not to mention the conviction of a string of reports claiming outright local domination over multinational competitors in the opaque African consumer market.

I've read the article you've put in the link. Nearly all the companies there shut down because of mismanagement or due to competition.Do you have a list of companies that shut down in Kenya because of high inflation like what Tropikal is mentioning?

Ministry of agriculture hijai ajiri watu kutoka early 2000s itatoa wapi watu wa kufutwa?
PSC has not been recruiting recently, itatoa wapi watu wa kufutA na many are retiring while others have exited thro natural attrition?
To be informed is to be forewarned.

Government will also follow suite, expect mass layoffs within government in the coming two years
The tragedy of the whole thing is that there is nobody in Kenya Kwisha even remotely bothered or concerned about this sorry state. I guess they are busy chewing and swallowing whatever is coming their way and have no time for hasoras.

Instead of addressing this situation, Kenya Kwisha is busy engaged in some hare-brained and ridiculous experiments with our economy like the Government 2 Government Oil Deal, destroying the KSh, removing and reinstating subsidies, selling donated fertilisers and taxing everything.
They have also managed to borrow 2Trillion in a span of over one year together with awarding themselves generous budgets and renovating and expanding Offices and State Houses.
All the things that a broke Country shouldn’t be doing is what they are busy engaged on.

Just like the biblical prodigal Son, JSKS who inherited a booming economy has brought it to its knees Banae in a little over a year.

In my line, 70% of my current supervisor's grade are retiring in the next 3 years. The same thing is replicated across many MDAs.
