Na bado makarao watakuja wakitaka kakitu. Kama si hao, ni kanjo

NMS deploys GSU officers alongside their kanjo goons, man it sucks to be a police officer in this country banah! yaani you are paramilitary unit with incredible capabilities but instead of being deployed in the theatres you signed up for like Lamu, Laikipia or Kapedo you get to harass businessowners over a bunch of papers!

The irony is the current kanjo license is called Single Business Permit which was meant to consolidate all other previously separate licenses into one!

That can never happen. Where will Liquor Boards,Fire Department,Health,MCSK,KAMP,NEMA,and other busy bodies get their daily corruption cut?

I think KAM can have an opportunity here to be a obe stop shop where small businesses can go to and they facilitate them to have the required licenses, where they tell for such a business you need these licenses and we can facilitate you to get them in so many working days for x amount that includes their agency fee. They have the networks and it would increase their revenue beyond member fee

Shida ya hizi lobby groups za Kenya , they act more of an extortionist groups. They don't look beyond membership fees.
Nikama tu ile ya consumers, if people can actually relate to what they do, they'll have a million members

Ngombe hizi vitu hafanywa ata na cyber. Its all about having the money. People just cant afford to pay all the licenses and still remain profitablle. To make it worse this things expire way too soon.

KAM works, that organization works for its members.

But have never seen it lobby for power to come down for manufacturers? Or even reduce the numerous licenses?

In the U.S.,the lobby groups usually work along senate and congress , to ensure legislation they want actually gets passed.
If KAM works as envisioned, it would be very easy to set up a plant in Kenya.

We could be seeing parliament approving laws or calling for public participations etc
