KDF is the only professional body in this country, okay, and maybe NIS. Hakuna siasa ya penny mbili huko (Siasa haiwezi kosa kila mahali, kuna ile internal). The appointments of CDF is from the tri-services.
The CDF before Mwathethe was from the Air Force (Karangi), Mwathethe from the Navy and now this one from the Army. This cycle has been perpetuated since the efforts of CGS Daudi Tonje to turn the KDF into a professional force where merit decides promotion, not tribe or godfathers.
