Do we have Medics on the SGR?

A passenger who fell ill aboard SGR train from Mombasa to Nairobi on Friday has DIED.
Ms Florence Makau died while receiving treatment at Kibwezi Sub County Hospital on Friday evening.

Florence, who was diabetic, lost consciousness after her blood sugar rose. Doctors said that her blood pressure dropped.
A few minutes before the train reached the Kibwezi station, Florence's condition deteriorated, forcing the crew to make an emergency stop as they made frantic efforts to resuscitate her.
A series of attempts were made to offer her first aid before she was rushed to Kibwezi Sub County Hospital where she was admitted after her condition failed to stabilise.

A nurse at the hospital said the patient’s blood sugar had risen while her blood pressure dropped. She said the patient died an hour after being admitted to the facility.

IMHO it is wiser to train on EMT procedures than to have a full time medic on board.

During my last trip last August, a passenger got unwell and the announcer asked for doctors on board. Responses were quick and effective. Chances are that there's always a medical professional traveling. He should be involved if EMT does not help.

Most probably kuna mtu analipwa but ako kwa private clinic yake akisaidia slay queen's Ku abort.
Starting January 2020, doctors working in public hospitals must first clear with their immediate bosses for permission to run their private clinics.
The move will give the employer control to avoid cases practitioners sneaking into their private clinics during official working hours.

Most govt servants are crooks to the core. Kuna mmoja najua, almost retiring, she never steps into her offices.

Ako tu nyumbani kwake na chunga ng'ombe na tend to her lawns. We have a very poor work ethic.
