Correct me if am wrong but the presidential term cannot be extended without changing the constitution but the parliament term can be extended is that the correct case lawyers in the house…couldn’t be assed to research!

That's the point. Elections dates are now embedded in the constitution. These fools are so used to impunity they think katiba ni mandas moto.

The Judiciary and the separation of powers is a creation of the constitution and you know that.
The question I should ask you is, if today the executive decided you are not a Kenyan national and decided to deport you to Sudan or Somalia, what would you do?

Why can't the same people be allowed to change their minds and amend that very constitution?

The people of Kenya have the sovereign right of changing the government. The government inlcudes all the three branches.

No one is above all Kenyans. Even that judiciary is paid using our taxes.

I don't want to go into hypothetical situations that are improbable. I asked you to deal with a situation of people's mandate. Why can an elected president be overruled by appointed technocrats? Why should we have democracy?

Why don't we have a Chinese like system where we promote people on meritocracy only?

Again, for a claimed critical thinker you are raising moot points. Isn't it spelled out clearly how to go on about it? Who's refusing the people to change the constitution? Who?

He's overruled because he violates the constitution, again the constitution is not a list of suggestions.
You talk meritocracy, this same President who uses ambassadorial, state corp boards for political rewards, creates unconstitutional offices like CAS for political rewards,or care to explain what Tuju, CAS without Portfolio does all day every day?

What do you mean improbable? Isn't Miguna in Canada even against a court order? Isn't he coming back and receiving comepensation?

The fact that you even call China a Meritocracy just tells me you don't know what you are talking about.

Frankly, it is clear to me this is a pointless engagement.

So is that constitution unchangeable? Why cant we have Wanjiku come around and say its right or wrong?

You insist that we follow the law. Do you understand what it means for some of us in diaspora? When we take foreign citizenship? Do you know what we had to give up prior to 2010?
