After a while I decided to leave the establishment seeing as to how the revelers had imbued enough liquid courage to turn the singing art to a croak fest, I cleared my bill and walked out into the night.
Standing outside I lifted my gaze into the mignight blue sky and took a breathe, appreciating how beautiful the universe truly is. Around me were joyous sounds of people as they went about their businesses and an appetizing aroma of fried meat
wafting from Simmers club.
A vibration from my phone notified me of a message snatching my mind from my auto-pilot mode, it was from stunning Paula inquiring if I found Moi Avenue's Samba club kareoke entertaining. Truth is I did not but that didn't matter at the moment, I texted her I found the crowd obnoxious but it did not matter provided I could enjoy the pleasure of her company.
The text seemed to please her as she invited me to join her there, which obviously I did.
I found her and her cronies this time easily enough and sat in a vacant seat next to her, her friends grinned sheepishly when they saw me but her eyes glowed emerald and she had on a coy smile. After a while I leaned to her ear taking in her amazing scent as it ran wild and sensual desires on my mind, and asked if we could take a walk. In turn she held my tie and whispered a condition in my ear which made my heart beat a little faster..
I must have seemed undecided because she further made me an offer I could seldom refuse, if I met the condition to which I agreed to.
Life is for the living anyway I decided, must have been the Guinness talking.
When the MC asked for a volunteer I piped up and walked over, it helped quite a lot hearing Paula and her friends cheer me on.
~You see, she made me an offer to take the walk if in turn I sang any song of my liking to her~
I was handed the mic and i was asked which genre to which I promptly replied country music, and in my opinion it gets no country than Coward of the County.
Although Coat of many Colors is certainly charming.
I took a deep breathe as the lights dimmed and the guitar took root in my heart, this one's for you Paula i thought as the slow beat came to life.
