What I've done before and really enjoy is spend two nights in Nanyuki after using the Nyeri route. After that, head to Meru and spend a night before coming back using route ya kupitia kwa akina @Mwalimu-G, grab some basmati rice hapo Mwea and come back home having fully gone round the mountain.

Next time do the reverse route then from nanyuki, head to nyahururu ,then ol kalou, then back ..nice trip going round both mt kenya and aberdare ranges.
