sadly we are too fewhigh time cyclists organise themselves into gangs kama watu wa nduthi. Ukigonga mmoja team building inangoja wewe

As a cyclist, competing for space with vehicles is a dangerous thing to do. Use the shoulders or the bike lane or some footpath.

Last week kuna siku Kenya mpya wameficha basi zao kwa police stations the whole day after kutwanga mtu wa boda.high time cyclists organise themselves into gangs kama watu wa nduthi. Ukigonga mmoja team building inangoja wewe
Huko hata furniture sellers wame encroach part of the actual roadThere are no bike lanes na pale ziko like the new Ngong road zimekua parking ya car yards
I cycle sometimes, and what happens is a bus will cut in front of you to pick or drop passengers, even in non-designated areas, so if you're going fast you may not have enough time to react.a case of tailgating or what?
This is almost sounds like an ignorant comment. Bicycles have a equal right to be roads as well and cyclists try their best to stay out of the way from drivers who should not be on the road in the first place. I do agree cyclists should be prohibited from broad multi-lane high speed highway on sections of Thika high way and A104. In this case, the incident happened at a section accessible to pedestrians whom the bust was picking up. In countries with a functioning rule of law, this is straight forward homicide case. The law suit that would have followed; the bust driver and owner of the bus would have wished they died themselves. And that is why in civilized societies, there is a great more deal of mutual respect of all road users. Most drivers in Kenya drive like they exchanged their brains for their licences. RIP fellow Kenyan. As a cyclist, competing for space with vehicles is a dangerous thing to do. Use the shoulders or the bike lane or some footpath.
This is the most dangerous idea that can come from a cyclist. Most countries prohibit cyclists from roads for a good reason. A bicycle is poorly suited to be on roads from a safety and stability aspect, in addition to the speed differences. Why would a cyclist want to venture onto a road that even boda bodas try to avoid?Bicycles have a equal right to be roads as well and cyclists try their best to stay out of the way from drivers who should not be on the road in the first place.
My friend, in civilized countries, cyclists don't compete with motor vehicles/superbikes on the highway. They have their own cycling lanes. Amsterdam is a cycling city with hundred of thousands of bikes but you won't see a single one of them on the highways unless kuna competition kama Tour De France. This is almost sounds like an ignorant comment. Once again!!! therefore, in uncivilized countries where they can abruptly STOP in the middle of the highway to PICK UP PASSENGERS ON THE HIGHWAY drivers should expect cyclists on the highway. My Friend, have you ever seen drivers abruptly stopping on Dutch highways to pick up passengers?...I am trying bring it down to your level of reason! My friend, in civilized countries, cyclists don't compete with motor vehicles/superbikes on the highway. Achana na cycling in this crazy city kama unajipenda.I cycle sometimes, and what happens is a bus will cut in front of you to pick or drop passengers, even in non-designated areas, so if you're going fast you may not have enough time to react.
