PRESS STATEMENT
The Department of Health Services would like to remind the Public Service Vehicles operating in Mombasa County to strictly comply with #COVID19 regulations/protocols.
All vehicles should be fumigated and should have a fumigation certificate.
Also, they must have;
▪Hand Sanitizers
▪Thermo gun
▪ Ensure all stages have handwashing facilities.
▪All passengers and matatu crews are also advised to wear masks properly.
Fumigation should be done at Tononoka Grounds under the supervision of Public Health Officers.
A Multiagency team will carry out a random inspection of all vehicles and offices from 9th December 2020.
Those who will be found flouting the rules will face the full force of the law.
Fumigation charges are as follows;
▪Buses - Ksh. 2,000
▪Minibuses - Ksh.1,500
▪14 seater PSVs - Ksh.1,000
