Health CS Mutahi Kagwe in a statement has announced 1,554 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 9,389. This now brings the total caseload to 81,656.
So far the country has conducted 870,950 tests. In the last 24 hours, the youngest post case is a five-month old baby, the oldest is 97.
Nairobi county still leads with 546 from the latest cases.
14 patients have succumbed to the virus which brings the total deaths to 1,441.
599 have been discharged, 476 were on a Home-based care while 123 were discharged from several hospitals across the country.
The CS has also cautions Kenyans who are presenting fake Covid-19 certificate while travelling as several Kenyans were on Wednesday arrested at the airport after they presented a fake certificate.
He has also urged citizens to follow Covid-19 guidelines provided by Ministry of Health to avoid an increase in infection.
