The hearing of a fraud case against Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has been postponed to September next year. The case had been scheduled for hearing on Tuesday, December 7 but lawyers representing the MP told the court that they have not been served with all the witness statements. The prosecution has lined up at least 45 witnesses to testify against Gachagua and his co-accused. The MP is facing charges of conspiracy to commit an offence of corruption, fraudulent acquisition of public property and money laundering.
