Cops arrested while ferrying foreigners of Somali origin

3 prison officers arrested at Mutwang'ombe along Mwingi-Garissa Highway after they were nabbed ferrying 8 foreigners of Somali origin in a government vehicle that was also ferrying other prison officers from Garissa to Nairobi to participate in an annual Prison Sports Competition.
Kshs 18,000 cash suspected to have been given to facilitate their transportation also recovered from a prison sergeant.
Constable Ali Hassan, Corporal Ibrahim Abdow and Sergeant Simon Kyalo Mwendwa have been placed in custody pending arraignment.
