Could you explain this in the simplest way... as you would to a primary school kid. I see this and I usually don't have a clue what it means for us. Is it bad? How bad on a scale of 1-10. Is it OK?
 
Those south American countries are normally better off than they are portrayed on the media. Save for a one or two countries.

Simply let say you personally can earn a maximum of100k in a month and out of that amount your existing debt is around 67% on the other hand i earn the same amount but but my debt as a percentage is 33%,see how i will be better off without you?
