Brace Yourselves Ladies and Gentlemen!

UDA has today committed a cardinal sin by banning parts of the Kenyan media from attending and covering their engagement today.

If there ever was a tell-tale sign of an autocratic and intolerant regime round the corner, it is when you find a political organisation denying certain media houses from attending and covering their events.

The message that emanates from such incidents is that you can’t take criticism kindly however constructive if it originates from quarters you don’t like.

The problem with such an attitude and mentality is that such a Government tend not to serve certain parts of their populace especially those who don’t vote for them and importantly those who don’t parrot their praises all day and all night.
To them, if you happen to be critical or have a divergent opinion, you become a sworn enemy to be hunted down, humiliated and obliterated.

Do bear in mind as well that the fourth estate have a constitutional right to access these events and also a fundamental right to ask questions on behalf of the electorate.

For the first time since Kenyans campaigns started in earnest albeit unofficial, I actually felt fearful and troubled.

Oya, nyani! Njoo nikuenyeshe mninii wako.

Do you know of Sagana 1, 2, and 3? No recording device either from the media or from attendees was allowed.

"Nyenyenyenye... media thrown out".

Don’t be ambiguous Sir. In what sense?

Furthermore do you have a legitimate reason to dismiss me as late when I am expressing my right?

Stop supporting groups that are intolerant of other Kenyans Sir. When they are finished with us, you will be next. Wise up Man.
If you want to spam ni sawa, but this is content we saw in another thread where we were following the event live, maybe your contribution would have been more meaningful there

With all due respect Sir, I kindly beg to differ with you.
This is the very first time I have seen and responded to this event.

Furthermore, it is not like I am cheerleading others who have done this stupid move elsewhere.
I am very appalled that we are running thin on tolerance as this could be an indication of things to come.

And if you don’t mind very much Sir, I would love to see that content you are referring to here.

Importantly, quit being emotive. More than ever, we the little people need tolerance than those politicos who benefit from our bigotry.

Oooooh fearful ooooooh autocratic
