I am not a Futurama fan .
Isn't it scary for Christopher Ferguson,Mike Fincke and Nicole Mann who sometimes next year are supposed to be crew members for a Boeing made space vessel . Boeing had a bad year with the MAX and now today the Starliner failed to work as intended . I am sure the planned crew are sweating imagining getting problems in their schedule lift off .

Ndio hawa majamaa wale watapotea next year.The fatty in the middle isn't sure about the whole thing - fist clenched and the face tells it all.

what we have right there is the most technologically advanced coffin the world has ever seen, smiling in the photo are the victims who will willingly put themselves in the coffin and get buried in deep space.

I think fibre is fine, but the shortcuts the company tries to take for the sake of huge profits under shareholder pressures are the culprit, coupled with Washington lobby graft. How else did the FAA surrender its regulatory role?

Just like here, government is poorly staffed. Unakuta wako na under staffed na kila mwaka ni budget cuts, esp. with trump who came in saying he will reduce the size of the federal government. Hawana option, unakuta company inaambiwa wafanye self regulation then they send the reports for filing and record keeping.
Hapa Kenya in my line of work we are supposed to submit structural designs for buildings pale kanjo. They have only two engineers to check our work. To thoroughly check a mansionette may take half a day, a small flat half a week to a week, a big flat two weeks, a building like the chinku ones in westi we are talking months. These guys simply have no capacity to check our work
A month or so ago the chief structural engineer retired, his junior was promoted but they are yet to hire someone.
What this tells you is structural engineers as of now self regulate.
After all that rant, Nairobi is one of the better regulated counties, enda places kama Tana River utashangaa

So if things were to change, it's for the people involved, say structural engineers in this case, to hold themselves to a higher standard...
